Police: Juvenile injured in northeast Columbus shooting

The victim was taken to Nationwide Children's Hospital, where police say they are expected to survive their injuries.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A juvenile is injured after a shooting in northeast Columbus early Sunday morning, according to the Columbus Division of Police.

Officers were called to the area of Hartwell Road and Shanley Drive around 3:20 a.m. on reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a juvenile victim suffering from several gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to Nationwide Children's Hospital. Police did not immediately provide a condition, but said the victim is expected to survive their injuries.

It is unclear what led up to the shooting. No suspect information has been released at this time.
