COLUMBUS, Ohio — Two people are recovering after being shot in northeast Columbus Thursday evening, according to the Columbus Division of Police.

Officers were called to the 2000 block of Landsburn Drive at approximately 10:38 p.m. on a report of someone firing a gun in the area.

According to a police investigation, a 31-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman were shot by at least one unknown suspect who was attempting to "shoot up" a house.

The man who was shot was located by a neighbor on a nearby street. When officers and medics arrived, he was taken to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in critical condition. Police described his condition as stable in an updated release sent Friday morning.

The woman, who police said was dropped off at Ohio State's East Hospital, suffered gunshot wounds to her legs.

Both victims are expected to survive their injuries.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact the Columbus Police felony assault unit at 614-645-4141 or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-8477.
