Police ID man fatally shot at bar near German Village

Investigators believe multiple suspects shot inside the bar after an argument.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police has identified the victim who was fatally shot near German Village Saturday evening as a 23-year-old man.

According to police, officers were called to the Double Take Bar and Grill, in the 900 block of South High Street, on reports of a shooting just after 6:10 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found Abdus Turner suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on scene. 

Two other victims were self-transported to Grant Medical Center. Police say they’re expected to recover from their injuries.

Investigators believe an argument began that led to multiple suspects shooting inside the bar.
