COLUMBUS, Ohio — Authorities arrested a 20-year-old suspect charged in the shooting of a 30-year-old man in the Hilltop neighborhood earlier this year.
The Columbus Division of Police said on March 10 officers were called to the 300 block of South Warren Avenue for a reported shooting."
Arriving officers found Ronald Smith suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead three days later.
According to Franklin County Municipal Court documents, detectives recovered multiple security camera videos which showed Kalan Hansard arriving at the scene with two other people people in a silver Volvo.
Records say the video showed Hansard and two others enter a house where Smith was shot multiple times during an attempted robbery.
Hansard has been charged with murder and his next court date is Dec. 29.
