According to a preliminary report from the National Weather Service, the tornado was on the ground for eight miles and was 250 yards wide at one point.

LONDON, Ohio — A security camera captured video of an EF1 tornado traveling across a field in Madison County early Wednesday morning.

The video shows the tornado moving through a field near Chris Estep's home on Lilly Chapel Georgesville Road in London. Estep, a storm chaser with the Interstate Storm Team, posted on Facebook that the 110-mph tornado started taking out transformers in the area.

According to a preliminary report from the National Weather Service, the tornado was on the ground for eight miles and was 250 yards wide at one point. It developed near state Route 665 and strengthened as it crossed Spring Valley Road and Glade Run Road, peaking in intensity as it crossed Wilson Road. The tornado weakened and dissipated at Olmstead Road, just south of West Jefferson.

This was one of five tornadoes reported by the NWS in Ohio. Three tornadoes hit central Ohio while the other two hit the western part of the state.

The preliminary reports for all five tornadoes can be read here.

No injuries were reported during any of the storms.
