He was originally indicted on two counts of rape, four counts of sexual battery and three counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

As part of a plea agreement, Culter pleaded guilty to one count of felony child endangerment - a third-degree felony. In exchange, the charges of rape, sexual battery and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor were dropped.

He is not required to register as a sex offender.

Culter was charged while he was a physical education teacher at Greensview Elementary School at Upper Arlington Schools. He was a teacher there for several years and a coach in the district.

The alleged activities happened with a student between 2000 and 2003, but the incidents were reported to authorities in 2021.
