Parole has been denied for a former doctor convicted of raping 36 women over seven years in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced the Ohio Parole Board denied Edward F. Jackson Jr.’s request for parole.

Jackson, once known as the “Grandview Rapist”, was found guilty on dozens of charges and sentenced to at least 282 years in 1983.

After his arrest in 1982, investigators found index cards inside Jackson's car that listed the names of his victims.

Jackson testified at his trial and claimed he was not guilty by reason of insanity.

Jackson will not be eligible for parole again until August 2029.
