Woman killed when struck by vehicle in east Columbus

Police said the vehicle involved in the crash was dark in color, but no other information was available.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police is searching for the driver who struck and killed a 67-year-old woman on the city’s east side Thursday night.

Just after 11:20 p.m., Mildred Kelley was crossing East Livingston Avenue between the Lilley Avenue and Berkeley Road intersection.

Police said a dark-colored vehicle was heading east on East Livingston Avenue when it struck Kelley. The vehicle did not stop.

Kelley was taken to Grant Medical Center with severe injuries. She was pronounced dead at the hospital at 11:57 p.m.
