3 critically injured in south Columbus crash

The crash happened in the area of South High Street and Alcott Road just before 9:30 p.m.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Three people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in south Columbus Monday night.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, the crash happened in the area of South High Street and Alcott Road just before 9:30 p.m.

A silver Chrysler 300 was heading south on South High Street approaching Alcott Road while a gray Chevrolet Silverado was attempting to turn left onto High Street from a parking lot.

Police said the Chevrolet did not yield was hit by the Chrysler. The Chrysler struck the driver’s side of the Chevrolet, causing it to roll over and rest on the driver’s side. The Chrysler went off the east side of the road and struck a tree.

The driver of the Chrysler and the driver and passenger of the Chevrolet were taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
