COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man died after being shot in the Hilltop neighborhood Sunday afternoon.
According to the Columbus Division of Police, officers were called to the 3700 block of Briggs Road near the Wedgewood Village Apartments just after 5 p.m. for a report of a shooting.
Police said the victim, 34-year-old Shawn Overly, was shot in the stomach and taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. He was pronounced dead just before 8 p.m.
Investigators are still working to find out what led up to the shooting.
