1 dead after southeast Columbus crash

There were no other passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash, police said.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash in southeast Columbus Wednesday morning.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, the crash happened just after 7 a.m. near the Driving Park neighborhood. Police said that a female driving a Saturn L200 southbound on Lockbourne Road was approaching East Columbus Street when she lost control of the vehicle and struck a utility pole.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash, police said.
