'I want justice': Columbus mother demands answers in son's 2021 shooting death

Jordan Pack was fatally shot in March 2021 and police have not found his killer.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — It's been nearly two years since Jordan Pack was shot and killed in north Columbus and while his mother said an arrest won't bring him back, it will certainly help her heal.

"He was like 'ma'am, we are from homicide' and I just lost it. I just couldn't believe those words came out of his mouth," said Michelle Pack.

That was the worst moment of Michelle's life: When Columbus police homicide detectives showed up to her door on March 22, 2021.

Police said her son, Jordan, was shot and killed near Beechcroft High School. Her son's death has not been solved.

"I am so frustrated. I'm hurt. I'm bitter," Pack said.

As of March 1, there have been 25 homicide investigations. At this time last year, there was 18. In 2021, when the city set a single-year high for homicides, there was 35.

Of the homicides this year, 18 have been solved.

Michelle wants nothing more than her son's case to be solved.

"I want justice for Jordan. It's not going to bring him back and I know someone out there knows something," Michelle said.

The detective on Jordan's case said he went out to knock on doors again this week to try and get new information that could possibly lead to an arrest.

Anyone who knows anything about Jordan's case, or any other unsolved homicide, is asked to call Columbus police.
