Police ID suspect, victim in deadly east Columbus shooting

Officers were called on a report of a shooting just after 5:50 p.m. to the 2800 block of Landon Drive in the Berwick neighborhood.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Police have identified a suspect and a victim in a deadly shooting on the city's east side on Friday.

Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called to the 2800 block of Landon Drive just after 5:50 p.m. on reports of a disturbance. As officers headed to the scene, that call was upgraded to a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found 41-year-old Michael Holland suffering from a gunshot wound. Holland was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

The suspect has been identified as 21-year-old Thomas Lacey III, who was arrested at the scene and charged with murder.
