MANSFIELD, Ohio — A 22-year-old man was arrested in connection with a shooting in Mansfield last month where two teenagers were killed and four others were injured at a party.

Cyrus Ellerbe is charged with murder in the shooting that happened on Oct. 27.

Mansfield police were called to Ferndale Road on reports of shots fired and people running from the area.

Police said two shooting victims were pronounced dead at the scene and four others were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries. The victims ranged in age from 14 to 19 years old.

It is unclear what led up to the shooting. Witnesses say a group of people ran from the scene on foot and in vehicles.

Mansfield police said officers arrested Ellerbe on Wednesday after consulting with the Richland County Prosecutor’s Office.
