Cirque du Soleil to perform on ice at Schottenstein Center this spring

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Cirque du Soleil will be making its way to Columbus’ Schottenstein Center this spring for an acrobatic performance on ice.

From April 4-7, fans of circus arts will be able to watch “CRYSTAL: A Breakthrough Ice Experience.”

CRYSTAL has traveled to more than 135 cities worldwide and entertained more than $1.9 million people.

“CRYSTAL really pushes the boundaries of possibility within the circus arts. The show highlights Cirque du Soleil’s creativity in a new way and encourages audiences to find the magic of the everyday,” said Robert Tannion, Artistic Director, CRYSTAL. “Every time you watch, there’s something new to see and experience. We’re thrilled to bring the show back to Columbus!”

Those interested in attending a show can purchase tickets beginning Monday, Oct. 23 at 10 a.m. through www.cirquedusoleil.com/crystal or Ticketmaster.

The show schedule is as follows:

  • Thursday, April 4 at 7 p.m.
  • Friday, April 5 at 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 6 at 11:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 7 at 1 p.m. & 5 p.m.

Some of the acts in the show include circus acts, trapeze, hand-to-hand, Banquine, aerial straps, hand-to-trapeze, juggling and hand balancing.
