A man who was found unresponsive in Ohio State’s Mirror Lake in August has died
Tushar Shriram Kabre, 28, of Dodridge Street, was found in Mirror Lake on Aug. 18.
He was found in about 7 feet of water at the western end of the pond, according to The Columbus Dispatch.
The cause of Kabre’s death was not immediately released. 10TV News reached out to the Franklin County Coroner’s Office.
The Dispatch reported that Kabre had been an Ohio State chemistry student but was not enrolled at the time of his death.
Ohio State University officials issued the following statement:
"Our hearts and thoughts go out to the family and friends of Tushar Shriram Kabre during this very difficult time. We will continue to make university resources available to them. This tragic situation and other concerns have prompted renewed conversation among university leaders about how best to ensure that Mirror Lake is both a beautiful and safe feature on our campus."
