Police: Suspect shoots at man, woman during 'possible' road rage incident in southeast Columbus

Police found that the SUV was shot at, with at least one bullet striking the front passenger window.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police arrested a suspect after they reportedly shot at a man and a woman during a possible road rage incident on the city’s southeast side Thursday morning.

A woman who was a passenger inside an SUV called 911 just after 9:10 a.m. as she and the driver left a Speedway gas station on Chatterton and Refugee roads just after 9:10 a.m. She told dispatchers that a suspect fired gunshots at them. The woman also said they were being followed. 

Officers eventually stopped the SUV at Harrisburg Pike and Briggs Road, about 10 minutes west of where the shooting happened. 

Police found that the SUV was shot at, with at least one bullet striking the front passenger window.

Medics determined that the woman was not shot but suffered a minor injury from shrapnel. Police did not say whether the other person inside the vehicle was injured in the incident. 

The suspect was arrested by deputies with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office at Stringtown Road and Jackson Pike. 

Police did not say what charges the suspect could face.\
