Sheriff's office: Man struck and killed by vehicle in southwest Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly crash in southwest Columbus.

The crash happened just after 4 a.m. on Interstate 270 at U.S. Route 62.

The sheriff's office said a vehicle that was heading northbound on I-270 south of Georgesville Road struck Timothy Bobo, 32 of Grove City, Ohio.

Bobo was pronounced dead at the scene by the Jackson Township medics. Authorities told 10TV the department's Accident Investigation Unit also responded at the scene.

I-270 north and westbound lanes were closed at US-62 and have since reopened.
