Pop up thunderstorms are likely the cause of power outages across central Ohio.

American Electric Power has over 6,000 customers without power Monday afternoon.

There are various outages around Franklin County with the larger number of homes impacted in Clintonville, Galloway and Westerville.

Westerville is asking residents to report their outages and issues by calling 614-901-6700.


Perry County also dealing with over 1,800 customers without power.

According to AEP estimated restoration time for power to return is 6 p.m. this evening.
