FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Ohio — A 33-year-old man is dead following a crash in Fairfield County early Saturday morning, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened just before 2:30 a.m. on Woodsfield Circle in Violet Township.
Troopers said Patrick White, of Pataskala, was driving a 2012 Cadillac CTS northwest on Woodsfield Circle when he traveled off the left side of the roadway, striking a rock and a mailbox. The vehicle overturned and hit a tree.
White was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
The crash remains under investigation.
Violet Township Fire and EMS, the Pickerington Police Department, the Fairfield County Coroner's Office and the Fairfield County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
