NOBLE COUNTY, Ohio — A southeastern Ohio lawyer who filled a Pringles can with his feces and threw it across a parking lot in 2021 was suspended on Wednesday.

According to Court News Ohio, the state Supreme Court suspended Noble County criminal defense attorney Jack Blakeslee for one year with six months stayed.

Blakeslee threw the can full of his feces into the parking lot of the county's crime-victim advocacy center.

Blakeslee said he was not targeting anyone and that he has a habit of "placing his waste in Pringles cans and randomly throwing them from his car as he traveled down the road."

The court found there was clear evidence that he chose the advocacy center "as his drop zone."

"The evidence in this case shows that despite societal standards of cleanliness and decorum, Blakeslee failed to control his own bizarre impulses to place feces-filled cans out in public for unsuspecting people to find. His aberrant conduct has adversely reflected on his own fitness to practice law and brought discredit to the profession through significant media attention,” the Court stated.

During his disciplinary hearing, Blakeslee said he was not targeting the advocacy group. He said he threw the cans to "blow off steam" and that he enjoyed imagining the "look of surprise" on the faces of anyone who found the Pringles can. He admitted to throwing poop-filled cans from his car at least 10 times in various locations.

Blakeslee previously pleaded guilty to minor misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and littering.
