CLEVELAND — A three-judge panel has accepted the guilty pleas of an Ohio man who killed a woman and her two daughters and will now decide whether to sentence him to death.

Cleveland.com reports the Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH'-guh) County judges took 46-year-old George Brinkman Jr.'s pleas Friday for the June 2017 slayings of 42-year-old Suzanne Taylor, 21-year-old Taylor Pifer and 18-year-old Kylie Pifer at their home outside Cleveland.

Authorities say Brinkman, a family friend, slit Taylor's throat, strangled Kylie Pifer and smothered her sister. No motive has been determined.

Brinkman's attorneys offered a sentencing deal of life without parole that prosecutors rejected.

Brinkman is charged in Stark County with fatally shooting Roberta and Rogell John at their Lake Township home where Brinkman was house-sitting in June 2017. Brinkman worked for Rogell John.
