COLUMBUS, Ohio — Authorities identified the man who was shot and killed outside of a Waffle House near Ohio State's campus early Monday morning.
The Columbus Division of Police said a fight broke out inside the restaurant located at 1712 N. High St. around 2:30 a.m. The fight spilled outside and a shot was fired, striking 38-year-old Ronald Diggs.
Diggs was taken to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 3:06 a.m.
Police said two other people were injured during the fight and treated at a nearby hospital.
Details about what led up to the fight and eventual shooting were not released.
