COLUMBUS, Ohio — A cyberattack has affected production operations at some Honda plants in the United States this week, according to a spokesperson for the auto company.

The spokesperson said, "There is no current evidence of loss of personally identifiable information."

Honda had a disruption in its computer network on June 7, the spokesperson said.

On June 8, the spokesperson said its information technology team was working to address the situation and later said Honda canceled some of the production that day.

When asked in an e-mail for an update on the situation on June 9, the spokesperson confirmed the information to 10TV about the cyberattack.

"We have resumed production in most plants and are currently working toward the return to production of our auto and engine plants in Ohio," the spokesperson said.
