Columbus police identify man killed in hit-and-run near Blacklick

Police said both drivers left the scene.

BLACKLICK, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police identified the man who was killed in a hit-and-run near Blacklick early Friday morning.

Around 1 a.m. on Friday, police said 66-year-old James Brusenhan was crossing East Broad Street at Richmond Woods Drive outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle did not stay at the scene. 

A witness saw Brusenhan crawling into the eastbound lane of East Broad Street when a Toyota Rav4 struck him. The Rav4 also did not stay at the scene.

Medics arrived at the scene and Brusenhan was pronounced dead at 1:06 a.m.
