COLUMBUS, Ohio — Drive-thru COVID-19 testing sites will be available by appointment at four Walmart locations in central Ohio starting Friday.

The four locations are:

  • Walmart Supercenter, 5200 West Pointe Plaza, Columbus
  • Walmart Supercenter, 2700 Bethel Road, Columbus
  • Walmart Supercenter, 8659 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center
  • Walmart Supercenter, 3657 E. Main Street, Whitehall

These sites will be open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.

“We are grateful to our associates who keep our stores running, our pharmacists who support these testing sites, and to Quest Diagnostics and local officials as we work together to open the site and help our community,” said Erik Hingst, Walmart Public Affairs Director for Ohio.

Testing is being provided for first responders, health care workers, those in high-risk groups and others who have symptoms of COVID-19. Individuals must be 18 or older.

All who are interested must first make an appointment with Quest Diagnostics. All patients will be screened and scheduled appointments through that site. A doctor's note is not needed.

The sites will use a self-administered nasal swab test and be observed by a trained medical volunteer to ensure the sample is taken correctly.

The testing site will not accept walk-up appointments.
