COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus City Council has approved a $30,000 settlement with the man seen on video being kicked by a Columbus police officer.
The settlement with Demarko Anderson was approved unanimously by city council members at Monday’s meeting.
Officer Zach Rosen was fired in July 2017 for his actions but has since been reinstated following arbitration.
Last week, a judge apologized to Anderson before sentencing him to prison.
