COLUMBUS, Ohio — Two people were injured after an SUV crashed into a home in east Columbus Tuesday morning, police said.

The Columbus Division of Police was called to the 4000 block of East Livingston Avenue just before 6 a.m.

When officers arrived, a dark-colored SUV was resting on a flower bed and steps near the front window and door of the home. The vehicle sustained serious damage to its rear and the doors to the driver and right passenger side appeared to have been removed.  Authorities did not say if the home sustained any damage.

Columbus Fire Battalion Chief Jeffery Geitter said one person was taken to Grant Medical Center and another person was taken to Mount Carmel East Hospital. Both of their conditions were described as stable.
