High School Football Player, 15, Facing Rape, Kidnapping Charges

A Watkins Memorial High School football player was in court on Tuesday to face charges ofmultiple counts of rape, kidnapping, and gross sexual imposition.

The 15-year-old boy, whom 10TV News is not naming because he was not charged as an adult, isaccused of sexually assaulting at least six young women, 10TV's Maureen Kocot reported.

The teen was arrested and charged on Friday.

Court documents showed that the first incident dated back to April 2008. 

One of the victims told investigators that she was sexually assaulted on the bus, in May 2008,and that her alleged attacker covered her mouth with his hand and sexually assaulted her while sheresisted.

The superintendent of Southwest Licking Schools said the girl never told the bus driver aboutthe incident, and that if she had, the district would have contacted law enforcement.

While one girl said she was assaulted on a school bus, others claimed that they were groped andraped off school grounds.

The boy faced a juvenile court judge on Tuesday. He was charged with 11 felony counts ofdeliquency. The case is being heard in juvenile court.

The boy was being held in the Licking County Juvenile Detention Center.
