Investigators say that Hambric and the shooting victim knew each other and are considering domestic violence as a possible motive in the shooting.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A woman was arrested after a man was critically injured in a shooting at an apartment complex on the city’s west side on Tuesday, according to the Columbus Division of Police.

Officers were called to the Pleasant Grove Townhomes complex located on Galli Court, just off Sullivant Avenue, around 3:55 p.m.

The victim was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. Because of the severity of their injuries, Columbus police said their homicide unit is investigating.

Officers arrested the accused shooter, identified as 51-year-old Regina Hambric. Investigators say that Hambric and the shooting victim knew each other and are considering domestic violence as a possible motive in the shooting.

Hambric is charged with felonious assault. She is scheduled to appear in Franklin County Municipal Court on Thursday.

Police did not provide any information about a suspect or what led up to the shooting but revealed that the two involved knew each other.
