Police announce results of crime blitz operation in northeast Columbus

Columbus police collaborated with social services on Wednesday to execute “Operation Unity."

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police released the results of its recent crime blitz operation that focused on the city’s northeast side.

Columbus police collaborated with social services on Wednesday to execute “Operation Unity,” a crime operation that addresses crime trends and complaints from residents in different areas.

Wednesday’s operation focused on the following neighborhoods:

  • North Linden
  • South Linden
  • King-Lincoln Bronzeville
  • Mt. Vernon
  • Eastgate
  • Milo-Grogan

Officers from multiple units within the police department conducted search warrants and stops to find violent offenders, recover firearms and confiscate illegal drugs.

Police made 20 felony arrests and seized fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine. Below are the full results from Columbus police on Wednesday’s operation.

  • One Stolen Vehicle Recovered
  • 2,643 Grams of Fentanyl Seized

  • 30 Pounds of Methamphetamine Seized
  • 166 Traffic Stops
  • 133 Traffic Citations Issued
  • 33 Driving without a License
  • Four Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence
  • 167 Parking Citations Issued
  • 10 Vehicles Impounded
