COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man is dead following a shooting at Wedgewood Apartments in west Columbus Wednesday evening, police confirmed.
Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called on a report of a shooting in the 750 block of Doulton Court, located in the Hilltop neighborhood, just before 8:15 p.m.
Police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:19 p.m.
The Columbus Police Homicide Unit initially investigated the incident because of the circumstances at the time. Police said the incident is being considered an accidental shooting, but additional details were not provided.
