A bowling ball was also used to smash the skull of one of the victims, Hogan reported.

The couple's bodies were discovered by Sproat's roommate.

During the course of the investigation, police were able to recover physical and DNA evidencefrom the crime scene.

Still, no arrests have been made.

"Just having the DNA is not the final answer to the case," said Columbus police Detective RalphTaylor. "You still need witnesses and you still need people to tell you what was going on aroundthat time."

"You get a tip like that (and) right away it jumps out at you," Taylor said. "Maybe I need totalk to this person personally."

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest or indictment inthe case.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 614-461-8477 or e-mail them byusing their Web site.  Text tips can be sent to"274637" with key word "TIP125."
