Weather Geek: 2-4" of snow for Thursday

Chris Bradley's latest Weather Geek report times out the snow and shows you how much will fall in your neighborhood.

Snow moves into Central Ohio just after Thursday's morning drive.

The latest computer models show light snow moving into Western Ohio after 8 a.m. and central Ohio between 9-10 a.m.

The snow will be steady during the day with 1-2 inches likely along and north of I-70 and 2-4 inches south of I-70. I expect the snow will force some schools to dismiss classes early so parents should plan ahead to pick up their kids early or have someone at home if they are let out early.

With temperatures in the lower to middle 20s tomorrow, I anticipate a very slow evening commute. You should count on snow covered roads and travel delays for much of the day and into tomorrow night.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the southern half of Ohio beginning at 8 a.m. and lasting until 11 p.m. tomorrow night.

Temperatures will drop behind the snow into the teens Thursday night and will only rise to near 20 Friday afternoon. West winds between 5-10 MPH will make if feel even colder with wind chills near zero and even falling below zero by Friday night.
