Police: 1 injured after car catches fire in crash on state Route 161 in northeast Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person was injured in a crash on state Route 161 near New Albany Friday morning.

The crash happened around 7:05 a.m. on state Route 161 at Hamilton Road. The Columbus Division of Police said it is not clear how many vehicles were involved in the crash.

One person was taken to Mount Camel St. Ann’s Hospital and her condition was described as stable.

All lanes on state Route 161 West beyond Hamilton Road have reopened after being closed.
