Twelve years after he left, former Ohio State basketball player Greg Oden now has a degree from the university.

He played one season for the Ohio State Basketball team before entering the NBA draft. He led the Buckeyes to the NCAA title game before they lost to Florida.

Oden was the No. 1 overall pick for the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2007 draft, where an injury kept him from completing his first season in his professional career.

He came back to Ohio State to take classes and work as a student assistant coach.

Ohio State Hoops on Twitter says he graduated with a degree in sport industry.
