MARYSVILLE, Ohio — A woman died after being struck by a car in Marysville Sunday evening.
According to the Marysville Police Division, officers were called to the 700 block of East 5th Street about a pedestrian struck by a vehicle around 6 p.m.
Arriving officers found a woman, 43-year-old Kristen Johnson, lying in the street. She was taken to a local hospital and flown to Grant Medical Center where she later died.
Witnesses told police Johnson was walking across the street when she was hit by a white sedan. The driver of the car stayed at the scene. No charges have been filed. Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be involved, according to police.
