The Ross County Sheriff’s Office confirmed 31-year-old Jeffrey Ryan Holsinger was arrested in Columbus around 10 p.m.

Authorities have arrested a man wanted in connection with two murders and a third shooting in Ross and Highland counties on Tuesday.

Around 2 p.m., the Highland County Sheriff's Office received a call about a man being robbed and struck with a pistol in the head at a home on Ford Avenue in Greenfield.

A deputy arrived at the scene and spoke with the victim. When the deputy went inside to investigate, he found a second victim, a deceased man shot in the chest in the bathroom. That man was later identified as 35-year-old Steven Mottie, Jr.

Deputies later identified 31-year-old Jeffrey Ryan Holsinger as the main suspect in the shooting.

Around 3 p.m., Ross County Deputies said they were called to a shooting in the 800 block of Rapid Forge Road, outside the village of Bainbridge.

The victim, identified as 23-year-old Jesse Lytle, was flown to a local hospital in Columbus where he is listed in serious condition.

Lytle identified Holsinger as the shooter to authorities. The Ross County Sheriff’s Office said Holsinger had stolen a 1997 Saturn from Lytle.

Deputies received another call around 7:45 p.m. on the report of a third shooting on Browns Chapel Road, also in Ross County.

Authorities found two victims, 79-year-old Paul Robertson and 67-year-old Dawn Wilson. Roberson was pronounced dead at the scene. Wilson was treated for her injuries and released.

Witnesses at the scene identified Holsinger as the shooter.

Authorities were able to follow Holsinger into Franklin County where he was taken into custody just after 10 p.m.
