Police ID man who died after being struck twice by passing vehicles in southeast Columbus

The crash happened on Refugee Road and Tennyson Boulevard just after 11:35 p.m.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 34-year-old man who was struck by two vehicles on the city's southeast side last week has died from his injuries, according to the Columbus Division of Police. 

On March 13, a Chrysler 300 was heading west on Refugee Road from the Tennyson Boulevard intersection. The pedestrian, who police identified as Lucien Mansare, started crossing the street when he was struck by the vehicle.

The driver stopped and stayed at the scene.

Police said a short time later, another vehicle passed the Chrysler and struck Mansare while he was lying on the road. The vehicle did not stop after the crash.

Mansare was taken to Mount Carmel East Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police said he died on Friday. 

Investigators have not released additional information about the second vehicle involved in the crash.
