Police looking to ID several persons of interest in deadly shooting in downtown Columbus

It is unclear what led up to the shooting. No suspect information has been released at this time.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police is working to identify several persons of interest possibly connected to a deadly shooting in downtown Columbus on May 19.

The shooting happened in the 300 block of Marshall Passage, near East Main Street, around 5:20 a.m. Officers were called to the area on a report of shots being fired. 

When they arrived on the scene, they found a man, identified as 30-year-old Raymundo Sanchez-Hernandez, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Sanchez-Hernandez was taken to Grant Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead at 6:10 a.m.

It is unclear what led up to the shooting. No suspect information has been released at this time.

Police released nine photos on Saturday and asked for help identifying several persons of interest.

Anyone who knows the identity or whereabouts of any of the people listed is asked to call 614-461-8447 (TIPS) or 614-581-4609 and ask for Officer Miguel Alvarado-Colon.
