Ohio State campus X's out all the M's for Beat Michigan Week

COLUMBUS -- The Ohio State University campus has fulfilled its tradition of replacing all the "M" letters on signs and buildings with an "X."

It's part of Beat Michigan Week.

"I haven't seen it [done]," Win Adissem said. "I just know it's done at night. It's done in secret."

Adissem says the tradition is a much-anticipated part of the year for students.

"It's like when you wake up and see that fresh snow just glistening," he said. "You just wake up and you see all these red X's all over the place. It's nice."

One student says he knows who is responsible, but says it's a secret.

"It's supposed to be," he said. "You go to sleep one night and everything's normal, everything's fine with Michigan Week and then you wake up one morning and all the M's are gone."
