BEXLEY, Ohio-- The City of Bexley announced on Wednesday that the David H. Madison Community Pool will not open for the 2020 season.
The city announce the closure at a city council meeting on May 26.
Mayor Ben Kessler stated “We have thought through all of the different variations of how to open the pool … We have a responsibility to our residents, and we believe that we are best exercising that responsibility by forgoing the pool opening this season.”
Tennis and pickleball courts at Jeffrey Park will reopen on Friday, May 29.
On May 20, Franklin County Public Health recommended that community pools do not open for the 2020 season.
