Police: 17-year-old boy arrested, charged with murder in North Linden shooting

According to the Columbus Division of Police, officers were called to the area of East Weber and McGuffey roads around 6:40 p.m.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged on Tuesday in a shooting that left a 26-year-old man dead in North Linden.

The Columbus Division of Police said first responders were called to the 1100 block of East Weber Road for a reported shooting. Medics found Kenjuan Howard at the location with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at 6:45 p.m.

A few hours later, police released photos of three persons of interest.

On Tuesday, officers were dispatched to the area of McGuffey and Weber roads for a disturbance, according to police. Arriving officers found and arrested the teenage suspect in the shooting. He has been charged with murder and two counts of felonious assault. 10TV is not naming him at this time due to his age.

The teenager was taken to the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center.

The two other people who were listed as persons of interest are no longer wanted, according to police.
