BLACKLICK, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police is investigating after a man was killed in a reported shooting in Blacklick Tuesday night.
Officers were called to the shooting in the 900 block of Dressage Trce, located east of North Waggoner Road, just before 9:50 p.m.
Police found the shooting victim, identified as 20-year-old Deon Crawford, in the parking lot. He was taken to Mount Carmel East Hospital in critical condition and pronounced dead at 10:13 p.m.
Police said Crawford had met with two men in the parking lot. One of the men shot the victim during the interaction, but what prompted the shooting is still not known at this time.
Police said one person was detained at the scene for questioning.
