'Started hysterically crying': Dog reunited with family after going missing in Texas 2 years ago

HOUSTON — After being missing for over two years, a dog is reunited back with his family.

Ashley Agnew and her family last saw their beloved Milo two and a half years ago when they lived in Houston.

Since that time, the family relocated to Seattle and lost hope of ever finding him.

Last week, Milo miraculously turned up in Houston and Agnew got a call she never thought she'd receive.

"When Teri called me that they found Milo," Agnew said. "I immediately called my daughter. She started hysterically crying. She didn't believe me until I sent her the picture then she started sobbing. She was like this can't be happening."

Teri Hill tracked down the Agnew Family and helped connect them with Roams to Homes Rescue, a nonprofit organization. They offered to cover the airfare to fly Agnew down to Houston to pick up Milo.

"Sometimes people work together and you get to see the good side of humanity you don't get to see very often," she said.

"It's always a good feeling.  I enjoy returning people's pets. That's why I keep doing it," Hill said.

If you ever find a lost pet, it's recommended to get them scanned for a microchip. This helps reunite pets with their families.
