More than 100,000 expected to attend Asian Festival at Franklin Park

The two-day event features art demonstrations, Tai chi martial arts workshops, entertainment, vendors and food.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — More than 100,000 visitors are expected to pay a visit to Franklin Park this weekend for the Asian Festival. 

The free two-day event features art demonstrations, Tai chi martial arts workshops, entertainment, vendors and food. Organizers of the Asian Festival want to promote the importance of cultural diversity in building a vibrant, prosperous and healthy community. 

The event typically features the Dragon Boat Race and the table tennis tournament. 

The Asian Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. You can view the event schedule here.  Events will take place at the Amphitheater Stage, Adventure Center Stage, Community Square Stage and Marketplace Stage. 

Guests wanting to attend the Asian Festival can park for free at Wolfe Park, St. Charles High School, East High School, OSU Medical East and Care Point East. There will be a free shuttle service an hour before and an hour after the festival.
