Follow Collin:

Collin grew up in southern Illinois in the town of Du Quoin. His education comes from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. His career started at WDQN-AM where he ran the news operation for the small radio station. He was hired as a general assignment reporter and weekend morning anchor for WSIL-TV in Carterville, Illinois, serving the area he was born and raised in. From there, Collin moved to Waterloo, Iowa to work for KWWL and serve the cities of Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, Dubuque and Iowa City. Collin anchored the noon and 5 p.m. newscasts for the station.

He is a Midwest boy through and through. Growing up and working in the rural parts of Illinois and Iowa, he understands the issues affecting the smaller communities but is also excited to learn what really drives Columbus, Ohio.

In his free time, Collin enjoys getting outside and exploring what the region has to offer. He’s big on visiting local festivals and farmers markets. He is a private pilot, which was his post-pandemic goal. Collin is also an animal lover. He has two cats: Kevin and Myrtle.

He is looking forward to listening to and telling the stories of the people living here in Central Ohio. Get in contact with Collin at collin.dorsey@10tv.com
