Romney Urges Young People To Take Economic Risks

Mitt Romney on Friday visited Otterbein University and encouraged young Americans facing bleak job prospects to "take risks" - and even borrow money from their parents - to help improve their economic fortunes
   
The Republican presidential candidate gave a campaign speech in the form of a guest lecture, 10TV’s Tracy Townsend reported.

During his speech, Romney noted that the nation's economy is recovering but  blamed President Barack Obama for presiding over the "most anemic and tepid" comeback since the Great Depression. Continuing his recent focus on younger voters, Romney said Obama's policies are making it harder for college graduates to be successful.
   
"This kind of decisiveness, this attack of success is very different than what we've seen in our country's history," Romney told economics and governments students. "We've always encouraged young people - take a shot, go for it, take a risk and get the education, borrow money if you have to from your parents, start a business."

Gov. John Kasich joined Romney for the first time on the campaign trail Friday, Townsend reported.
   
“I want to give small businesses (a chance to) grow and create jobs,” Romney said. “If your priority is to punish people, President Obama is the right guy to vote for. If your priority is to get more jobs, I’m the right guy to vote for.”
