Two men arrested, charged with murder in two deaths including pregnant woman

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Police confirm two men officers have been looking for in connection to the deaths of a man and a pregnant woman on January 1 are in custody.

Police said Christian Dequan Dillion, 19 and Mario Marshawn Wade, 18, were arrested and charged with murder in the deaths.

Other details about the arrests were not immediately available.

Columbus police said two people were killed and another was critically injured in a shooting in west Columbus at 11:43 p.m. Jan. 1 in the 600 block of South Hague Avenue.

When officers arrived on the scene, they located three victims at the home suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police say 23-year-old Keith Brian Williams III was pronounced dead at the scene.

Marlazia Lashonda Jones-Mattox, 21, was transported by to Mount Carmel West Hospital in critical condition where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at 12:15 a.m., according to police.

Police say Jones-Mattox was 35 weeks pregnant. Doctors were able to deliver her baby boy.

A third victim, who has not been identified, was transported to Mount Carmel West Hospital with severe permanent injuries.
