OSHP trooper deploys taser on man resisting arrest on I-270

COLUMBUS -- According to officials from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a trooper deployed a taser on a person on I-270 on the southwest side of Columbus.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said a trooper stopped a vehicle for speeding around milepost 6 of I-270 northbound.

While explaining the citation, the driver became argumentative with the trooper, according to Robert Sellers with OSHP. The driver exited the vehicle and refused to follow verbal commands and continued to approach the trooper.

A physical confrontation resulted with the trooper utilizing a taser to subdue the suspect.

The suspect was evaluated by EMS personnel and was not injured. There were no injuries to the trooper. The suspect was incarcerated in the Franklin County Jail.

OSHP identified the suspect as 35-year-old Mutaz Yousif Aziz Mosees of Dublin, Ohio.
